From the Occupy movement, we’ve seen that money isn’t a PRIVATE matter anymore. It’s something that’s OK to talk about, and it’s something that’s IMPORTANT to talk about. As students, many of us are in debt or will be in debt in the near future. LIPS thinks our personal struggles with student debt and our collective struggle aren’t separate.
We invite you to share YOUR story, thoughts and experiences with student debt (or any other way you identify with the Occupy movement) Tuesday night on Nov. 15. It’s time to remember we aren’t struggling alone.
If you know you will be interested in speaking at the event, please give us a heads up by emailing us at laborinitiativeic@gmail.com — we just want to have several definite speakers to kick off the speak out.
